Mindful Nation Ireland
Prior to training as a psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher, Éilís enjoyed a diverse career spanning 17 years in the consular section of a diplomatic mission in Dublin. She left the embassy in 1999 to study psychotherapy and counselling, and has been working in this area ever since.
In 2008, Éilís began a 2-year post-graduate training in Mindfulness Based Approaches at Bangor University, Wales. To further her understanding of mindfulness and its impact on health and wellbeing, she then completed a 4-year teacher training programme at the Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School where she was subsequently invited to join their international teacher training team.
In addition to working in a busy psychotherapy practice, where mindfulness is an integral part of her clinical work, Éilís delivers ongoing mindfulness courses and workshops to groups in the private, public and corporate sectors.
In her work, Éilís experiences how the practice of mindfulness contributes to a more compassionate, healthy and responsible way of living and relating to self and others. Consequently, she is committed to raising awareness and delivery of mindfulness as an accessible resource for the benefit of all members of society and for our environment.
